Hishikawa Moronobu
Hishikawa Moronobu was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist who is considered the founder of the ukiyo-e genre. Active in the late 17th century, Moronobu is known for his bold, expressive lines, vibrant colors, and detailed depiction of everyday life in Edo (now Tokyo). His work helped popularize ukiyo-e as a form of mass entertainment.
